Venue announced for the 4th annual BIKER BOYZ BLOCKO
Stunt Rider at De Biker Boyz Blocko 2006
Wednesday July 18, 2007 - The anticipation is over as TORONTO-LIME.com and Mr PlayHouse Entertainment have finally announced the venue for the 'BIKER BOYZ BLOCKO'. The annual event which attracts hundreds of motorcycle enthusiasts and countless spectators will be hosted at the TRIBAL KNIGHTS Mas Camp (located at 2210 Markham Rd, just South of Finch in Scarborough) on Sunday July 29th 2007.
The free block style party runs from 3pm-11pm and will feature stunt riders, CARIBANA costume display, Caribbean music, food, prizes and more.
According to the event coordinator (Jef from TORONTO-LIME.com), "the new venue is perfect for our event. It's in a back parking lot away from the busy streets and has a separate strip of road for the trick riders, so safety will not be an issue.
Proceeds from 'De Biker Boyz Blocko' will go to the Tribal Knights Mas Group to assist in the purchase of materials for their 2007 CARIBANA presentation. "Dexter (from Tribal Knights) is a long-time personal friend and business associate and this collaboration will be a great benefit to the TRIBAL KNIGHTS and their contribution to CARIBANA 2007," says Jef. "We have a lot of support from key people in the industry who have donated their services and efforts into giving back to the community. Mr PlayHouse and I feel blessed to have their kindness and support in hosting this free appreciation event."

Jessie Matthews presents "RHYTHM OF LIFE" for CARIBANA 2K7
The Rhythm of Life tells a story of celebration in rhythm. This year's presentation begins with the story of a people, in the Rhythm of Africa and the Rhythm of India. The journey then moves to the rhythms we as people create. We celebrate the Rhythm Section and the Rhythm of Music.
Through the rhythms we are engulfed by the energy of a Jumbie Rhythm and find ourselves immersed in the Rhythm of Samba. The Samba leaves us spent so we retreat to the land to recover with the Rhythm of Nature. At the end our travels remain imprinted on our skin as we wear our travels proudly and celebrate unabashedly exposed. In our final celebration, we celebrate the Rhythm of The Earth to complete our celebration of the Rhythm of Life!!
Every culture in the world has it's own distinct and unique rhythm. From the beginning of time and human existence, rhythm has been used to express, indulge, communicate, nurture, soothe and excite. Although each rhythm is different, there is no denying the similarities in the ebb and flow of rhythmic sound as it punctuates our moments and aids in our expression as a people. This is the Rhythm of Life.
Mas Camp is located at Tropicana Community Services, 670 Progress AveCall 647 204-3689 or check myspace.com/calabashcompany or http://www.jessiematthews.com/.
